The Recruitment Process

The application form is found on our website and is an essential part of our recruitment process. Please complete all sections, if you’re not sure how to answer any of the questions, please give us a ring on 01886 833378 and we’ll be happy to talk them through with you. Please make sure your completed form reaches us before the closing date.

After the closing date, we compare the application forms. We contact people who meet the needs of the job and invite them to attend an interview or assessment.

We know interviews can be daunting and try to keep them as relaxed as possible. At least one member of the interview panel will have completed safer recruitment training. You will be asked competency questions and may be required to complete some work based tasks depending on the role you have applied for.

Interviews are planned in advance and you will be given as much notice as possible to attend. If you are unable to attend a specified date on an advert, because of other commitments let us know when you apply, we may be able to see you at other times. When you have an interview, we will tell you what documents to bring with you, including evidence of identity, this is a legal requirement for the type of work you are applying for.

If you are unsuccessful, we will notify you as soon as possible and will provide you with feedback on your interview if you wish.

Our Place Schools is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate in accordance with Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education legislation along with Employment checks.

We hope this information helps you understand a bit more about our form and our recruitment process.
